Are they really going to cut down brownout time in GenSan?

General Santos City, Philippines - Socoteco 2 services General Santos City, the entire Sarangani Province and the municipalities of Tupi and Polomolok in South Cotabato.  These areas hopefully will get a reprieve this week from the daily extended brownouts.

The brownouts here in General Santos City, Philippines have recently claimed a couple of lives.  Two asthmatic locals of the city died because they weren't able to use their nebulizers while having an asthma attack amidst the brownout.

General Santos City in Mindanao, Philippines has been hurting from brownouts.  Power outages here in General Santos City used to be three hours.  Went up to four hours.  Now it is a total of an abominable seven hours. 

When You're Feeling Down

As I've said before in my previous post (here), I have been selling some of my possessions.  Most of them are in storage, as to why, that's another topic.  But it's not always I'm able to sell something.  Last month I had no sale and I just had P20 (about .50c CAN) in my wallet.

I’m usually a generous person (when I have something to give).  Back home in Canada, every time my friends visited, they would always go home with a gift from me. 

When I was vacationing here in the Philippines, my wife and I would always bring boxes of gifts for the family and friend (sometimes not) of 
the family.  They called those gifts “pasalubong”.
