Anniversary Flowers from Ton Lamyai, Chiang Mai

Today is our anniversary. It's been fourteen of the best years of my life. I have to admit I am uniminaginative when it comes to suprising my wife.

This morning, while drinking my coffee, on the roof top lounge of Top Garden Boutique Guesthouse, I thought of getting flowers for my wife before I went back to our room. I know it doesn't sound dreamy but the suprise would be something I know my wife would really appreciate.
So I asked Victor and Thunya where to get flowers. They suggested a big local flower market, Ton Lamyai, about 15 minutes walk from the guesthouse. As I was about to start my way out, Thunya suddenly offered to give me a lift, as she said she was going there to buy something anyway. So off we went to the market, me on the back of her scooter. When we got to Ton Lamyai, which is situated by Worarot Market, along the Ping River, Thunya showed me a couple of shops. It was hard to choose as every shop had fresh cut flowers overflowing with colors.

We chose an arrangement of roses with a lot of baby's breath and a lily flower in the center arranged in a handmade bamboo basket. The florist made it fresh on the spot.
