Bangkok - Day 1

Bangkok, Thailand

I haven't been able to post for a while now as my laptop screwed up. Good thing I have an android and if I can get a good internet connection, maybe I can make a quick post (whole day yesterday and the other day this page wouldn't even load), also kinda hard typing letters with the android keyboard :(

Although I arrived late last night in Bangkok, it's my first day in Bankok today. After travelling from General Santos City by bus for three hours, then Davao to Clark by plane and onto Bangkok by plane for three hours (not to add the waiting time in airports and immigration) I decided today would be a free day.

Me in the airplane happy to go back to Bangkok
Right now I'm staying at Best Western Klassique Sukhumvit (read here).

As I've said, I gathered it would be an idle day, so I didn't rush to go out and kinda just lazed around.  Didn't sleep well last night as the room we had didn't have a window and it felt really stifling.  Somebody also decided they weren't having a good time and started arguing in the wee hours of the morning and kept it going till 6 in the a.m.  The walls were thin so you can hear the noises from your neighbor's room and the hallways.

In the afternoon, I felt hungry and decided to go to Tesco Lotus Sukhumvit, just right below the BTS On Nut Station.  It reminded me of Walmart back home but with a little kiosks selling clothes, shoes, food, electronic accessories, etc. along the corridors.  It also has a food court.  That worked out for me as I just wanted cheap food!

Selection of spices in big bowls for you to put on your plate!

With all the choices available I didn't know what to pick!

I ended up getting Pad Thai (of course!) for 40 baht and Big Noodle with Pork for 45 baht.
